How to subscribe

WesChat (weschat-l) is the alumni mailing list. There are two ways to sign up.

To subscribe by e-mail send a blank message to subscribe-weschat-l@lyris.wesleyan.edu. Because WesChat is a private list, new member requests must be approved by an administrator. To unsubscribe, send a blank message to unsubscribe-weschat-l@lyris.wesleyan.edu.

To subscribe through the E-Portfolio (WesNet), log in and navigate to Resources → Mailing Lists, and provide your preferred e-mail address. You can unsubscribe using the same form.

Digest mode

Digest mode allows you to receive a daily bundle of WesChat messages in a single e-mail rather than receiving messages as they are contributed. There are two ways to change your subscription to Digest mode:

To change modes by e-mail send a blank message to digest-weschat-l@lyris.wesleyan.edu. Within ten minutes you will receive a message confirming that your settings were updated. (To revert to receiving each message separately, send a blank e-mail to mail-weschat-l@lyris.wesleyan.edu.)

To change modes using the web visit the Lyris forum login page, enter your subscribed e-mail address and click OK, navigate to “My Account,” and change your “Membership Type from “Normal” to “Digest”, then click Save Changes.

Archived messages

WesChat content is also available online to registered users. After your request to join WesChat has been approved you will be able to access the WesChat Archive.
