General recommendations

For all e-mail accounts, we recommend the following client settings, using the IMAP protocol.

Incoming mail

Server name: username.mail.wesleyan.edu
Port: 993
Username: username
Secure connection: SSL

Secure authentication: No

Outgoing mail

Server name: username.post.wesleyan.edu
Port: 465
Username: username

Secure connection: SSL

If you prefer POP, the incoming port number is 995. The outgoing information is the same.

Using a specific application

Please contact the software vendor for help with configuring a specific application.
