Google Apps users

Alumni take note: This page applies to Alumni from the Class of 2009 and later.

Alumni from the classes of 2009 and later have e-mail service through Google Apps (or GApps) accounts. This allows access to Google applications (including Gmail) via a Wesleyan e-mail address, username and password.

Please see ITS Google Apps site for information on how to access, configure and use your GApps account. Additional tips are also provided on this site under Transferring Data, below.

[GApps (Gmail) login page]

GApps passwords

Password change and password reset works the same way whether your e-mail is a conventional Wesleyan account or a GApps account. Log in to your alumni Portfolio to change your password via the Password Manager. If you do not know your Wesleyan password you can perform a password reset.

Transferring data

There are two methods of transferring data to a Gmail account:

  1. Using basic Gmail import: imports mail and contacts from your current Wesleyan email (conventional or GApps) to a different Gmail account.
  2. Using IMAP and a third-party email client: transfers mail between accounts while preserving message labels. Gives you full control over what goes where.
